Unlike neurotoxins such as BOTOX®, which eliminate wrinkles by keeping the muscles that cause them from moving, wrinkle fillers actually plump up the skin under the wrinkles, smoothing your skin and leaving it line-free. Just as not all faces are the same, however, not all wrinkle fillers are the same. Some last longer than others. Some are better for certain parts of your face.

In addition, we’re excited to be among the first practices to offer a new product, Belotero®, which will nicely complement the other treatments we provide. Here is a quick primer of wrinkle fillers in Denver, each of which target a different issue:
- Juvederm® XC. Juvederm XC is an injectable gel that also contains the anesthetic lidocaine to help ensure the most comfortable experience possible. This safe and effective wrinkle filler can last up to six months and works especially well on deep wrinkles such as laugh lines. The results are immediately noticeable. Our Dr. Buford was one of the first Plastic Surgeons in the country to offer this innovative product.
- Radiesse®. Radiesse combines the best of both worlds. This injectable wrinkle filler is a volumizer, plumping the tissue under your wrinkles, filling them in, and smoothing them out so that your skin looks younger right away. But it doesn’t stop working when you leave the office. Radiesse also stimulates your body’s collagen production, which keeps your skin’s surface looking younger, longer.
- Belotero®. Belotero will be used primarily for smoothing out superficial lines, such as crow’s feet. This filler provides subtle smoothing and rehydrating of the skin as soon as it is injected. As with Juvederm, Dr. Buford will be one of the first Plastic Surgeons to offer this exciting new product in the U.S.
- Structural Fat Grafting. Have you ever heard someone say, “I wish I could take the fat from my tummy and put it where I need it!”? This is no longer wishful thinking—structural fat grafting allows us to use your body’s own fat to plump up wrinkles in your cheeks or lips. Talk about using what you have to your advantage!
