Is Bellafill right for me?
Injectables are a patient favorite for their fast treatment, quick results, and little downtime. In fact, over 7 million injectable treatments were performed last year alone. Because of their popularity, there are a huge number of injectable products available—so how do you know which is right for you?
During your consultation with Dr. Buford, he will listen to your goals and assess your areas of concern to determine which injectable product is the right choice for you. The best candidates for Bellafill:
- Hope for long-term improvement of deep smile lines or nasolabial folds
- Have acne scars that make them feel self-conscious
- Want a smooth, natural look and feel
It’s important to disclose any allergies you may have, as those with a known allergy to bovine collagen or lidocaine may not be eligible for treatment. A skin test will be performed about a month before your treatment to ensure it can be safely administered. Dr. Buford will review all safety information with you prior to your treatment.

Once you and Dr. Buford have agreed that Bellafill is a great fit for you, you’ll get settled into one of our comfortable treatment rooms. Dr. Buford will “map out” where he will place injections for maximum results and numb the area to make sure your treatment is as comfortable and pain-free as possible.
He will then strategically administer Bellafill just under the surface of your skin using a very fine needle. You’ll notice a difference right away as the Bellafill fills in lines and recessed scars to the height of surrounding skin. When your treatment is over, you’ll be able to resume most normal activities, though it’s normal to experience slightly swelling, tenderness, and redness at the injection sites.
