RiNo, or the River North Arts District, is one of the most vibrant areas of Denver – full of history, culture, and some of the city’s best restaurants and bars. One of the most unique parts of this neighborhood are numerous buildings adorned with fun, funky and colorful murals. While many of the pieces are commissioned by local public arts programming like Crush Walls, others are simply the work of home-grown graffiti artists who enjoy putting their stamp on the city. With so many sights to choose from, your best bet is to just wander around until you find a mural that you love, then photograph it! We recommend starting out at the Rainbow Crosswalk on Broadway, or the alley behind Denver Central Market—but if you’re interested in going in-depth on the city’s street art scene, don’t miss the Denver Graffiti Tour. RUNNER UP: Cherry Creek has one of the most popular shopping malls in the nation, including the perfect luxury and refined location for your next photo shoot: Restoration’s Hardware’s flagship store! Also nearby is Fascination Street Fine Art, an award-winning gallery from local artist, author and collectibles expert Aaron Lapedis. Here there are countless vignettes and exhibits to attract your eye and stimulate your mind, while also creating a whimsical and interesting backdrop for your feed. Get Directions>>

For History Buffs

Denver’s LoDow (or Lower Downtown), is a historic district turned modern hipster paradise. It is best known for the Dairy Block, a local hotspot of shops, dining, hotels and street art which sits on the site of an old dairy factory. Our favorite photo spot is an alleyway behind the Milk Market, which is even more charming when decorated for the holidays. Get directions>>

RUNNER UP: Larimer Square is the historic district commemorating where Denver was founded. Explore downtown history while also getting the chance to sample some of the best dining, shopping and nightlife in the entire city with independent shops, bars, and restaurants. Your Denver-themed feed isn’t complete without at least one or two shots of the lights strung across the streets and sidewalks! Get directions»
