A Sight for Sore Eyes

While a little crinkle around the eyes may seem dapper, drooping lids, puffiness, and dark circles can prematurely age your face and make you look tired, concerned, or even angry. Blepharoplasty, also known as an eyelid lift, can help restore an alert appearance to your eyes.

Board-certified Plastic Surgeon Gregory A. Buford, MD, FACS, PCEO can perform this safe and effective procedure to help restore the bright, piercing gaze that makes you, you.

What to Expect from Eyelid Surgery

Dr. Buford offers both upper and lower eyelid lift procedures. During your consultation, he will work closely with you to determine which procedure or combination of procedures will work best to achieve your desired results.

Upper Eyelid Surgery

If the skin of your upper eyelids is obscuring your vision or giving your upper face a droopy look, Dr. Buford can remove excess skin and restore a youthful appearance to the area.

For an upper blepharoplasty, Dr. Buford starts by making an incision in the eye's natural crease in as inconspicuous a location as possible. Through this incision, he will remove excess skin and fat until the desired results are achieved.

Lower Eyelid Surgery

A lower eyelid lift may be the best solution to address puffiness or sagging under the eyes. This procedure can eliminate "bags" and tighten the underlying muscles to help you look well-rested and ready to take on the world.

Similarly to the upper blepharoplasty, Dr. Buford will make an incision either at the outer corner of the lower lid, right beneath the eyelashes, or just inside the eyelid.
